Q&A
How is it treated?
Melasta applies two modes of fractional and Q-switch in combination, considering the treatment lesion, severity, and recovery period.
How many treatments and how long?
For epidermal pigmentation such as melasma and freckles, 2 treatments for 4 to 6 weeks are recommended in Q-switch mode, 2 treatments for 6 to 8 weeks are recommended for dermal pigmentation such as Ota's nevus and tattoos, and 3 to 5 treatments for 2 to 3 weeks in fractional mode are recommended for whitening treatments such as freckles/whitening.
Are there any other precautions?
Avoid exposing the treated area to UV rays and always use sunscreen. Allow any microscopic scabs that develop on the treated area to fall off naturally.
